Summary
K-9 Angels is a non-profit dog and cat shelter known locally in the Heights of Houston. K-9 Angels needed assistance in educating their volunteers, foster parents, and adopters on navigating their services. When my team and I came across their website, our eyeballs had no idea what to do. Unfortunately, it was so overwhelming we didn’t know where to look and what the main focus was in this organization. We knew we had engaging challenges ahead of ourselves.

01
overview
We have observed that the K-9 Angels Rescue website does provide a clear view of the services performed, causing a lack of patrons' understanding of how to help.
How might we increase donations and adoption for higher productivity within the mission of K-9 Angels Rescue in having returned assistance and rescuing dogs?

User Persona
Cara is a 35-year-old computer analyst from Houston, TX. She loves caring for others- especially animals. Cara is interested in bringing another addition to her household for her current rescue to have a playmate. By word-of-mouth, she heard of a reputable rescue site in her area that she would love to adopt and contribute to their cause. However, when visiting the website, she found it challenging to locate adoption information and how to donate to their organization.

Style guide
When creating the style guide, we understood saving dogs' lives was a serious matter, but after interviews, we noticed an emotional response of the user. The feelings met after volunteering, donating and providing safe loving homes to the animals; showed a great deal of empathy. Our colors represent the user's joy and playfulness of a dog while keeping a slight round edge to our icons and typography.
